Leads explained

With the release of MyPlace, we introduced several new ways to deliver pre-qualified leads. With I’m Serious, Achievements, Buyer Ready, and Rent Ready (in partnership with Canopy), you’ll gain more information about the property seeker’s position, their search activity, and readiness to buy, rent, or sell. A lead may contain any of these components, however, not every lead will contain all four.

I’m Serious and Buyer Ready will appear where a user has completed these sections of their MyPlace account. Achievements are displayed for any user with a MyPlace account. However, they don’t need to turn anything on within their account for us to send you this information. Rent Ready will appear where a user has created a Canopy RentPassport and where you have registered with Canopy as an agency.

Please note these sections will only be visible on leads received via an email inbox. If you receive your leads via our API, these fields are currently unavailable. Our team is working on integrating this and we’ll notify all agents and new home developers when this becomes available. If you use an email parsing system, you will need to get in touch with your software provider to ensure their system is picking up these additional fields.

I’m Serious

A serious property seeker has supplied their full home address and phone number, which will be included in every enquiry they send.

Achievements

We highlight five key activity indicators for all logged-in users which are shown under the ‘Achievements’ section. These help to highlight active users on our site for you.

In this example, you can see Harold has viewed more than 20 properties at OnTheMarket in the last 3 months and has at least one active saved search. We’ll also tell you if the user is clicking links within property alert emails, has sent more than 10 leads in the last 3 months and if they have a property to sell/let that’s not on the market.

These achievements will give you and your team an insight into their property journey and help you have the upper hand when first contacting them.

Buyer Ready

A Buyer Ready user has completed the Buyer Ready section in their MyPlace account, sharing more information about their personal circumstances to help us pre-qualify leads for you. To become Buyer Ready, we’ll ask them the following questions:

  • Whether they have a property to sell
  • The timeframe they are confident of selling within (where applicable)
  • The timeframe they are confident of moving within
  • Whether a mortgage is required
  • Whether they have any concerns about securing a mortgage, or whether they will be a cash buyer
  • How long they’ve been searching
  • Their household size
  • Whether they have any pets moving with them
  • Their budget
  • Their top three desired features for their new home
  • Their top two priorities out of size, condition, location, and price

Rent Ready

In partnership with Canopy, serious property seekers can sign up and create a Canopy RentPassport™ through becoming Rent Ready in MyPlace or selecting to create a RentPassport when submitting a lead.
