What are templates?

Templates will allow you to create a partial listing containing a set of key details which you can then apply to new listings. They’re useful when adding multiple properties which have the same basic information, such as a number of flats within one building. They can also be used to store common snippets of text, like a local area description. You may create as many templates as you need, all of which can be updated at a later date.

Adding/editing templates

From your dashboard, select Manage > Templates. This will take you to a list view of any templates you have previously created, if applicable. From here, click the plus icon in the right-hand corner. If your office has multiple departments (sales, lettings, or overseas) you’ll be prompted to select a department for your template. Next you’ll be presented with the first template upload screen where you can fill in all the property details of your new template, Template name being the only mandatory field. Hit Save once you’ve completed what you need.

Once you’ve saved your template, you can return to the template list screen by clicking the arrow icon in the top left. Your new template will now appear here. From the list view, you can edit your templates by clicking the pencil icon to the left of the image thumbnail.  

Alternatively, you jump straight to the template editor from within a new property editor by selecting Create a new template where it appears towards the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Applying templates

From your dashboard, select Manage > Properties and select the plus icon to begin. Once you’ve selected whether the property is sales or lettings, you’ll see a dropdown selection towards the top right-hand corner of the following screen. Select your template and click Apply template.
