How does the Agent valuation search work?

When a consumer uses our Agent valuation tool and enters the full postcode of the property to be valued the site will:

a) plot the centre-point of that postcode and determine a ¼ mile radius around it

b) calculate how many published properties we have within that radius (including those currently unavailable)

c) calculate which agency each property belongs to and rank the agencies based upon the number of associated properties

If there are fewer than four branches found within the initial area, a radius is incrementally added until at least four branches are returned or it reaches a ten mile radius.

The branch with the most instructions within the radius will be presented first on the final list, and the branch with the least last.

This is explained on the website at the bottom of the list of suggested branches: Agents ordered by number of properties marketed near your property.
