SmartMail: FAQ

I don't have access to SmartMail, how do I get this?

If you have signed a contract already but still do not have access to SmartMail within OnTheMarket Expert, please call Technical Support on 0808 1202 877 (option 2) or email support@onthemarket.com.

Where do custom templates appear and are they editable?

There is a selection of templates available to choose from, select Templates from the top menu. Here you’ll be able to create your own under My templates, as well as use any from the various collections. All templates can be edited.

Will QR codes show up on custom templates?

Yes, QR codes are active regardless if it is a custom template or not. You can remove it from your design when editing, simply by clicking the bin icon.

What does the QR code generate?

It produces a light version of the Market Appraisal Guide, with reduced content. You will receive notifications when the code is scanned and the guide accessed.

How do I deselect addresses to mail out to?

Select Mail or X to either select or deselect all properties in a trigger. If you’re unsure what selection you’ve chosen, switch the toggle whilst watching the mailing and total cost change.

Where can I view my templates?

Simply click Templates, in the menu along the top.

How can I remove an address from a mailout?

Click Do Not Mail button next to an address, a short list will display. Select either,

  1. Remove from this target(removes from current mailout)
  2. Remove from all targets (removes from all mailouts for the individual SmartMail user)
  3. Do not mail (removes from all mailing lists)

How long does it take for a mailout to be completed?

Typically, 5 working days.

Where does the data come from?

SmartMail data comes from whole of market, utilising data from Land Registry and the Electoral Register.

What information can be downloaded via the Print in branch option?

If this option has been included in your package, you can print any of your campaigns at your branch by switching on the Print in Branch toggle, when viewing your basket.

How many outcodes can I have per branch and where can I view them?

Up to 10 per paying branch, which can be viewed in the On Market tab. Outcodes will appear alongside the filters, simply click the dropdown to view. You don’t have to use all 10, and you can swap them out should you want different outcodes.

If I change or add outcodes, how long before the data to be pulled in once they’ve been applied to the account?

24 hours.

Can I get a copy also sent to my branch?

To send a copy of your campaign to your branch, simply select the Add Seed button for each item when you are viewing your basket.
