Property icons explained
We’ve introduced a set of new property icons to help identify where properties may have Accessible features, form a Greener choice, or be Pet-friendly. These icons will be available on all listings (excluding Commercial and Overseas) and will be shown on the results and property details pages where we have detected at least one matching criteria.
These icons can be clicked and will open to let consumers know why we have qualified that property to receive each property icon. We have also introduced new filters for each of these icons allowing users who are interested in these properties to easily find them.
Accessible features
How do we qualify listings as having Accessible features?
There are two main ways that a listing will be identified as having accessible features.
The first is through the existing options available to manual uploaders and those on a real time data feed. Where any of these options have been set it will be flagged on your listing (with the exception of Not suitable for wheelchairs, although this will be shown if other access features are selected as well).
In addition to the established options, our systems will scan the content of your listing to try to identify accessible features. This is an evolving list, and if you feel that your listing should be identified as Accessible but our system has not detected this, please contact our support team and we will be happy to update our systems.
A few examples are the M4(2), M4(3), and BS 8300 standards, along with ramp access, wide doorways and wet-rooms. Where these are mentioned in your listings we will recognise this and publish the icon for you.
In the same manner, if you believe your listing has been falsely marked as Accessible please let our support team know and we will resolve the issue for you.
