How do I relist a property as new?

If youve had a sale/let fall through on a property, you may need it re-listed as ‘new’.

We’ll automatically relaunch your sales property as new if it has been:

    • unavailable (retracted, under offer, hidden or SSTC) for 14 weeks or more

We’ll automatically relaunch your lettings property as new if it has been:

    • unavailable (retracted, hidden or Let agreed) for 14 days or more

If your property listing meets the above requirements, it will automatically go out in property alerts,  receive a ‘Recently added’ flag, a higher position within the search results and Only With Us branding (if applicable). 

If your property doesn’t meet the above requirements, please email support@onthemarket.com within 48 hours of re-listing the property to let us know your sale or let has fallen through. We’ll need:

    • the URL for the OnTheMarket listing that has fallen through, e.g.: https://www.onthemarket.com/details/12345678/
    • the following statement: “I agree to the fall through declaration” to confirm your agreement with the declaration  below 

Declaration

I understand that inaccurately declaring a property as a fall through is likely to be classed as a misleading action contrary to Regulation 5 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, with a resultant penalty of a fine and/or up to 2 years imprisonment, and that, if requested, I authorise OnTheMarket to provide confirmation of this declaration to Trading Standards or any statutory body to assist in their investigations.

I understand that inaccurately declaring a property as a fall through will be classed by OnTheMarket as a breach of OnTheMarket’s General Terms and Conditions and may result in OnTheMarket terminating our membership in accordance with your listing agreement.

I declare this property as a fall through and request that it be returned to market. 

 

My property doesn’t qualify for relisting – what else can I do?

If your property isn’t eligible, here are some ideas that you can try to encourage viewers.

Product options

If you have some Premium and/or  Spotlight credits available, using one or both of these would give this property a boost in exposure.

Property listing Options

  • Refresh or change your images, especially the lead photo. If you manually upload, have you used our Autoenhance.ai tool? 
  • Add “back on the market”  to the description and/or property features (but remember to remove this later!). Try using Otiem, our AI assisted tool to create your description and give it a refresh. If you’re using Premium Display, there is a ‘Back to market’ label available to use. 
  • Consider reducing the price by more than 2% for the property to be automatically sent out in email alerts as a price reduction and to appear within our Reduced search filter.
